Your responsibilities
We're now looking for a Business Developer to support Uniper in driving the energy transition to the next level. You will be responsible for taking the first contact with customers and local stakeholders for developing potential Uniper business. The energy markets are moving in a fast pace and Uniper needs to identify and evaluate our growth potential in the Nordics. The work entails working side by side with a Senior Business Development Manager towards the Nordic markets, assessing new site establishments for particularly green fuels and renewable power production (onshore wind and PV), manage local actors interests, develop early financial models and present findings and suggestions for new business to the Head of Business Development Nordics. Uniper's Nordic Business Development team consists of five colleagues and are expanding to eight, working close to several departments within the organization. Uniper belongs to the parent company Sydkraft AB with offices in Malmö and Stockholm. Traveling will occur on a regular basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
Growing the business pipeline
• Support in customer and site assessments (green field and brown field) for potential Uniper business related to electro fuel production, onshore wind and PV parks
• Identification, validation and selection of business leads
• Conduct high level business model development including business case modelling
• Stakeholder management with customers, local actors, municipalities and partners
• Customer relationship management: Coordinating sales activities between departments addressing the Nordic market
Lead and support early business projects
• Manage project team progressions, status, risk assessment and develop financial decision papers
• Conduct detailed market analysis, outline problems, opportunities, and solutions
• Lead or support in early stage (pre-FEED) projects with partners to develop business and technical concepts
• Support project and tactical initiatives through selective analysis, research and report writing when needed
Uniper is positive to a flexible approach around remote working based on the conditions of the business and the individual employee.
Your profile
You probably have a master's degree in a relevant subject such as Engineering, Business Administration or similar. You have experience working with customers and business development and have knowledge concerning stakeholder management and business case modelling. You work with a flexible approach and have a track record of driving customer relation activities resulting in business in the energy sector. You have a strong business acumen and the ability to see the bigger picture. As we work in an international environment, you need to be fluent in both Swedish and English written as well as spoken.
To be successful in this role you need a strong commercial mindset. You have integrity, work proactively, and have great communication skills. You are used to a high degree of self-management and taking own initiatives. In addition, you have the self-drive and motivation to work on your own as well as a part of a wider team. You appreciate meeting people and are good at building trustful relationships with potential customers.
