We are building the future relationship bank to meet the future demands of the customers and the market. Digitalisation is rapidly changing our customers' preferences and behaviour while operational regulation is increasing - this is transforming the whole industry.

To increase our agility and to develop even more personalised and convenient services, we are simplifying processes in all parts of the bank and building new banking platforms, with the aim to continue to create Great Customer Experiences, anytime and anywhere.

The most important enabler to meet the future demands is our Core Banking Programme (CBP), and for this effort we need you with change management experience to join us in the role as Business Architect.
We are looking for you who have proven Business Architecture / Change Management experience, ideally gained within a financial services environment, and you have experience with complex cross-border transformation projects, capability modelling, developing roadmaps and organisational design.

The primary objective of the Core Banking Programme (CBP) is to deliver a common, Nordic Core Banking Platform that supports the core functions of banking, i.e. transaction banking, deposit taking, lending, mortgages, and global cash management. These deliveries will impact over 11 million customers and 27 thousand employees.

As a Business Architect you will take lead in aligning business requirements and develop the future state business architecture roadmap in close cooperation with the Core Banking Platform delivery streams and with stakeholders across Nordea. You will own and articulate a dimension of the Business Architecture and guide the development teams as they operationalise it.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Translate the organisation's strategies into directional guidance, including identify and define target state business capabilities and other functional views of the business, for the CBP.
• Collaborate with business to identify and evaluate business problems and define solutions.
• Research, identify and recommend industry best practices to solve business problems.
• Develop business solutions and evaluate options, risks and benefits to enable CBP to make key business decisions.
• Participate in the development and review of business requirements, processes and workflows to ensure delivery of consumable products and solutions.
• Ensure sound, holistic business architecture aligned with the surrounding landscape.

The position is located in Stockholm with bi-weekly travel.

You have a broad view of business and appreciation for strategy and capabilities, processes, governance and enabling technologies to understand the relevant business objectives and issues.

Furthermore, you have:

• Experience of planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
• Experience working with third party providers and vendors in a global environment.
• Experience of business modelling and process design using a variety of techniques and tools.

If you have industry certification (for e.g. TOGAF) or experience with industry standards such as BIAN, it would be preferable. Experience in previous roles within the business (i.e. product and/or process development and strategy) and/or a banking/business strategy consulting background is also a merit.

In order to enjoy and succeed in the role, you:

• Have the ability to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate high-level business requirements for development of changes to existing business processes, polices and/or information systems, and the ability to translate the issues and results back to the business and IT teams.
• Have a critical thinking and creative problem solving skills, where you encourage innovation and manage change.
• Have the ability to build strong relationships with IT and business managers.
• Are a team player with the ability to influence, network and collaborate with both colleagues and stakeholders.
