The Application scientist will be involved in resin characterisation and application development. The work will from time to time involve technical support and other customer-related activities such as oral presentations. Knowledge in chromatography and purification of proteins and other biomolecules is important, as well as understanding our own product solutions. Experience from research-scale protein purification and/or downstream processing is desired. The person we are looking for has a university degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, or similar.
Key responsibilities:
• Contribute in resin or column product development with characterisation and application development
• Plan, conduct and report the work
• Develop understanding of customer's needs
• Develop product knowledge of our own products as well as of competition
• Provide technical support to sales, marketing and customers
• Communicate product and application information orally and in writing
• Commitment to quality - to work according to ISO9001:2015
Candidate requirements (qualifications/experience)
• PhD or MSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or similar
• Experience in Biopharmaceutical industry research or downstream processing (desired)
• Experience in communication within the Life sciences (talks and writing)
• Fluent English

• Knowledge in Biotechnology with focus on biomolecule purification
• Strong skills in conducting and recording scientific work
• Well-organised, flexible and sharing information within the organisation

• Excellent communication & presentational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
