About the position
The Global Data and Analytics department handles the collection and streamlining of data into the Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and the development of BI solutions and reports in the DENTSPLY Sirona group. The team consists of 13 members and work cross-functionally, which means that you will interact with many functions such as finance, marketing, sales, commercial, supply and operations. Our BI strategy is to primarily use Microsoft SSAS, SSRS and Power BI and we are just about to develop a BI self-service solution and roll-out globally. We also maintain and develop Hyperion Oracle products and we will implement RapidResponce, Kinaxis and Anaplan this year.
Your key accountabilities are:
Work closely with GDW manager to ensure prioritization of corporate and departmental objectives and projects.
Coordinate projects to provide BI solutions for business needs
Develop standards, patterns, best practices for reuse and acceleration
Prepare documentations and specifications
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Collaborate with BI Administrators, Developers and Analysts for successful development of BI reporting and analysis solutions.
Work with business groups and technical teams to develop and maintain data warehouse platform for BI reporting.
Develop security and authentication standards for the organization.
Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents.
Define BI standards, guidelines and best practices for business groups and technical teams.
Support BI tools upgrades in development, testing and documentation.
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities for BI tools.
Diagnose and resolve BI tool capacity issues.
Recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of BI tools.
Provide expert guidance on Business Intelligence (BI) skills and technologies.
Develop scalable and maintainable BI applications to meet business objectives.
Who you are
In the role as BI Architect it is important that you can work independently, but also find it stimulating to work in a team as well as in a multicultural and multinational environment. You should find comfort in working with ongoing system and process changes. To succeed it is essential that you have good analytic ability with a logical thinking and that you are interested in details and have the ambition to understand complex environment.
We believe you have:
An academic background, with relevant university degree within Management Information System
Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
You have an knowledge of data design and analysis of BI systems and processes
Knowledge of Power BI is preferable
Analytical and logical thinking
Communicative skills, both verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English
Good to know
This position will be located in Mölndal, Sweden and reports to the Manager of Global Data Warehouse which is responsible for the back-end solution.
