Your role
Airframe stress is responsible for the airframe structure with respect to stiffness, stability, static strength, and long term characteristics such as fatigue and damage tolerance. Definition, preparations and evaluation of structural tests are also included in the competence area.
The competence area is also responsible for continuing airworthiness of aircraft in service considering the airframe stress discipline. You will make calculations using Saab in-house tools and handbooks or FE-programs.
In this role you have the opportunity to take part of different projects and work assignments based on your interests.
Your profile
As a person, you find challenges motivating and your passion for technology and development is obvious. You like to solve problems, have strong analytic skills, is structured and can prioritize and organize your work in an efficient way. You also have the ability to see the big picture as well as to immerse yourself in to details.
As a person, you are driven and take responsibility both regarding the technique and deliver in time. Good communication skills is important since there is cooperation with other disciplines within Saab. Openness to new ideas and a willingness to continuously improve yourself and our processes is a mindset that we need.
The skills you have:
* B.Sc or M.Sc. within mechanics, engineering physics or similar
* Swedish and English skills, both oral and in written, due to the fact that we are in an international cooperation and that most of the documentation is written in English.
It is meritorious if you have experience from a similar role.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

You will be part of the section airframe stress a section within structural analysis consisting of 30 employees and consultants mainly working as stress engineers. The section is part of structural analysis, which is organized within Airframe and Vehicle Systems within Business Unit Gripen Design Area Aeronautics.
Within structural analysis, we are part of larger development project such as Gripen (C/D/E/F), Global Eye, T-7 and programs for future products. This means that there is an opportunity for variety of projects within Saab to be part of. There are also a wide internal cooperation's within Saab as well as with partners and sub suppliers. Except for working in our projects, we are also responsible for our processes, methods and tools.
