hela Sverige We are seeking a Basic Software Engineer for a consulting assignment with one of our clients.
As part of this contract role, you will contribute to the development of platform software for powertrain electronic control units, covering the full lifecycle from prototypes to production-ready systems. You will work across all phases of software development - from requirements and design to coding, testing, integration, and validation.
Key responsibilities:
Develop embedded software based on AUTOSAR architecture for electronic control units
Design and implement low- and middleware-level software for critical EV components
Participate in requirements analysis, software architecture, estimation, implementation, unit and integration testing, and documentation
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery
Support integration of software functions into the ECU and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues
Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
Proficient in C/C++ programming
Deep knowledge of Embedded C, including compiler and linker usage
Hands-on experience with debugging tools and hardware-software troubleshooting
Knowledge of OS-level programming techniques and communication protocols (UART, CAN, SPI, LIN)
Experience developing low-level drivers for microcontroller peripherals (ADC, DAC, timers, PWM, watchdog, DMA, digital/analog I/O)
Familiarity with issue tracking, configuration management, and test management solutions
Experience in agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
