What we offer
We have an exciting opening for someone who is in the beginning of their legal career and wants to be part of our journey of changing the automotive industry by bringing autonomous and fully electric luxury cars to people around the world. Within Volvo Cars, we have a global support function for legal procurement, which plays a key strategic role in providing legal support to our Procurement organization of nearly 1,000 employees. We are now looking for our third team member who will have the opportunity to develop a strong legal career within our global organization.
What you will do
In this role you will provide the Volvo Car organisation with legal support in a variety of purchasing matters ranging from non-complex to medium complex nature or risk. It could be anything from supporting buyers in negotiations and contract drafting with suppliers, assisting more experienced legal counsels in medium complex matters, preparing legal documents in legal matters with limited complexity and risk, providing basic internal legal training to the organisation to being engaged in preparation of various legal templates and communication material. Adequate legal support requires interaction with general and specialist legal functions with the Volvo Cars Group, including Legal HQ, IP, Compliance, Finance and Environment as well as close collaboration with the stakeholders of the various agreements.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of the role of an in-house counsel and the Legal Procurement function and how it contributes to achieving the objectives of the business.
* Master of law or any other degree and/or practice required to practicing law in the relevant jurisdiction with grades in the upper tier
* Ideally, someone in the beginning of their career
* Basic knowledge and experience in practising business law along with a demonstrated interest in business law
* Preferably a generalist, but can be focused on certain legal disciplines
