hela Sverige Department 4215 Mainframe Application Production is a department within Service Runtime Management. The department is today consisting of 2 parts: one is delivering Application Production mainly in the Mainframe area and the other part delivers Database administration for different databases and applications.
We are now in the situation that we need to strengthen our capabilities to support COTS applications, so therefor we are looking for an Application Technical Specialist. We have a virtual team that support our customer with application operation spanning from database tuning, deploys to scripting in linux. As an Application Technical Specialist you will work with several of our internal and external customers.
Job description:
The Application Production group is now looking for an Application Technical Specialist that will mainly work with the RedPrarie application. One of the responsibly will be to get secure this application in the runtime environment. The work involves handling deploys of new versions and bug fixes. You will also tune the application to work as good as possible in the current runtime environment. Since the application is based on Oracle it?s a great advantage if you have experience of databases and Oracle and also you need to have understanding of integrations using MQ. Since the application is collaborating with SAP you will also be working closely with the SAP teams. The application is running in an UNIX/Linux environment so you need to have experience and knowledge in Unix/Linux area.
As a person you need to be outgoing troubleshooting where accuracy, helpful and stress hardiness are some of your keywords. You have deep technical knowledge but also the capability to take in new knowledge. As a person you are flexible and have the ability to think in a strategically way and are good at teambuilding.
We hope you are a person that are creative and innovative and that can motivate your coworkers. You have a good vision for problem analysis and solving but also have a way to see the overview as well as a sense of details. You need to be service minded and have a high customer focus and the communications skills are on a high level.
Qualifications:
For this position you need to have experience in following areas:
• Unix/Linux
• Oracle
• SAP
• Websphere
• COTS applications (Commercial off-the-shelf)
• Experience in RedPrarie is an advantage.
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You also have to be proficient in spoken and written English and if you also are this in Swedish is this an advantage.
