MIP Technologies in Lund is looking for an experienced and multi-skilled Analytical Chemist to join our Development Team.
Analytical Chemist
You will work as part of a team performing analytical / preparative separation and method development of small organic molecules from a range of different matrixes. The characterisation of materials is done using modern analytical techniques and you will conduct analytical work in custom projects and provide detailed reports. You will support research projects with feasibility studies using a range of analytical techniques and you will provide the chemistry group with accurate analytical back-up during product development. These projects are presented both internally and externally to customers. The team also contributes to the quality control of final products.
Key responsibilities:
Analytical method development and characterisation of separation materials for use in analytical, preparative, and process scale applications and as a part quality control
To conduct projects within agreed budget scope and to deliver high-class reports at given deadlines
Project leadership for internal and external projects ? presentation to internal and external customers
Adhere to guidelines and produce appropriate documentation for internal and external scrutiny
Job requirements:
Must have several years of up-to-date practical hands-on experience in a laboratory in an industrial setting
Practical experience in analytical instrumentation and method development
Practical experience in separation, purification and extraction techniques
In-depth knowledge of GC-MS and LC-MS
Experience of analysis using a wide range of matrices (eg food, environmental, pharma)
Good proficiency with common software (MS Office, databases, etc.)
Experience of an ISO/GMP/GLP environment - used to diligent documentation (ISO)
A minimum education at B.Sc. level in analytical chemistry
In order to be successful you should have good communication skills, be a teamplayer with proven collaboration track record in cross functional teams. You are used to perform in a busy work environment and under pressure with deadlines. You are service-minded, and willing to support our synthetic and polymer chemists with new analytical concepts.
