Join me to build up a team that will transform our ways of working at Digital Banking & IT, and Swedbank. We need your passion and expertise as an agile transformation lead/coach/trouble-shooter/mentor/influencer to help shape the scope for this team, our mission, and your job. Job title? Agile Coach is the name of the role, but what we hope to find is a true Change Agent. This team is completely new and in the start phase of defining the WHAT's to achieve. We would like you to join in this work to add your touch to it, and then be the main driver of the HOW's. This is what we see so far:
• Define and set the agenda for our agile transformation in Digital Banking & IT and lead the way to succeed with it. The agile path is chosen but we need to detect what's next to release the potential we have and infuse the organization with agile powers and culture.
• Provide coaching, mentorship and hands-on guidance to teams and people in different roles and levels of the organization. We need to define and then support the transition to agile for those who have bought-in on the shift and convince some to join it. Understand and meet people where they are and be their guiding star to a growth mind-set.
• Facilitate trainings and interactive workshops, to start creating rings on the water for higher agile greatness and self-sufficiency in ways of working.
• Be the inspector gadget that helps out in both discovering roadblocks for agile ways of working and finding ways to remove them.
• Drive increased collaboration and alignment in ways of working cross teams, units and organization. We need to partner up with other agile champions around the organization and figure out how to win together.
• We want to adopt agile at scale, have chosen SAFe for that but have only started. I look forward to hearing you say that you were a key driver to start, support and pursue a mind-set shift at scale.
It might sound like a smooth operation but trust me, it will not be an easy game. We are a big organization with different perceptions of agile and this transformation. There will be days of frustration. But by being convinced and relying on the team and me backing you up, the wins will feel so much sweeter than from a friction-less journey. What is needed in this role:
To state the obvious; your mindset, personality and motivation is critical to succeed with this (and to bear with me and the job). To thrive as an agile coach at Swedbank you need to be an expert in finding the balance between understanding our environment versus pushing for (and inspiring to) change. You are curious to listen, understand and have an open mindset to be able to find the best ways forward to lead transformation at this place. It would be great if you as a person feel happy when you get a chance to transform theoretical knowledge into practical solutions. Besides being such a fantastic person, you already have a relevant set of skills in your backpack. Here are the must-mention requirements:
• Relevant university degree
• Deep knowledge and experience from agile principles and preferably also agile at scale. Proven record of mastering agile & lean thinking not only in theory but also in practice.
• 3+ years of experience from agile coaching and mentoring on different levels like team, domain and leadership level. You should have a toolbox of Agile practices and techniques that you can apply to various situations.
• Experience from driving agile transformation journeys, preferably in a large organization context
• Experience from working in the interaction between business and IT
• Fluent in English and preferably (but not necessarily) also in Swedish
• Work permit in Sweden
You should also have experience from either...
• a central, hands-on role in successfully implementing agile at scale using SAFe (our chosen framework), and having relevant certification
or
• technical background and understanding, i.e previous experience from role as Scrum Master but nowadays a passion and focus on ways of working
