Internationella Engelska Skolan i Hässelby Strand is now recruiting a dynamic and hard-working Academic Manager to join our Leadership Team in August 2016.
Description
The Academic Manager is a manager in the school and is an exemplary leader, educator, organiser and motivator. They work closely with the Principal and Assistant Principal to ensure high academic standards across all subjects balancing both short and long term goals. They support and guide teachers wherever possible and work to maximise student achievement in everything they do. As a member of the group of Academic Managers within the organisation Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB, they support each other and work to create and develop academic initiatives to constantly raise the standards of education across the organisation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Assist the Principal and Assistant Principal in ensuring that the quality of teaching, learning, planning, and assessment are of the highest quality.
Manage and lead the Heads of Department to ensure that academic procedures and policies are in line with Skolverket's requirements of the National Curriculum Lgr11 as well as Internationella Engelska Skolan's ethos of high academic expectations and aspirations for every child.
Monitor the school's performance relative to the academic goals that are set locally and within IES.
Work with the group of Academic Managers and IES Head Office on the continued academic development of the organisation as a whole.
