Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for an ABT Algorithm Engineer.
You will be part of the ABT organization within NEVS and responding to the ABT Mechanical Integration Manager, with strong responsibility in Designing and delivering manufacturing effective and robust integration solutions on gate time for current and upcoming projects.
Will take charge on algorithm development for new lithium-ion cell chemistries, new advanced algorithms for battery state estimation, robust and hardware/code-optimized. Best Practices knowledge is a high priority, together with:
• Determining battery model parameters for new cell chemistries
• Development of on-line adaptive estimators (e.g. Kalman filter) for battery state- and parameter determination
• Model-based battery monitoring software/algorithm development
• Battery modeling, implementation and validation of the battery models with Rapid Control Prototyping and on current BMS Hardware
• Hardware-in-the-Loop with Battery Simulator
• Deriving requirements and demands for new BMS hardware and software
• Expert in the area of ??Battery Management System ( BMS ) and professional support of team members
• Development of software testing strategy, prototyping and performance measurements
• Design and realization of functions of the "functional safety"
• Conducting reviews towards requirements analysis, functional and software design
We are looking for someone who has:
• Minimum education of a Master of Science in Electrical-, Computer- or Physics Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in series development of ECU software
• Very good knowledge of Lithium-Ion Battery dynamics
• Very good knowledge of (non)linear systems theory
• Basic knowledge of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
• Very good knowledge of the C programming language and development processes
• Very good knowledge in ECU and embedded software architectures
• Design and implementation of hardware-related functions for a component of the battery system
• Coordination of interfaces with other components of the battery system and battery management system
• At least three years' work experience in a comparable position
• Excellent understanding of mechanical and electronic items of an automotive battery system
• Advanced understanding of firmware development with knowledge of microcontrollers as well as knowledge of SW architecture and standards like ASIL, AutoSAR
• Experience with Battery management software development, using C and tools like Matlab/Simulink, CANalyzer, CANoe, Stateflow and TargetLink.
• Experience in measurement and fault analysis using Vector CANape or equivalent
• Several years of experience in series development of software in the automotive sector as well as knowledge of ISO26262
• Automated code generation
• Hardware-in-the-Loop
• Very good English language skills
• Driver license B
