Your Responsibilities
As a Test Development Engineer in hardware, you will be part of the team responsible for designing and delivering test systems for characterizing optoelectronic components. In this role, you will develop and refine test systems. Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
* Designing and planning new test setups with high demands on hardware/instrumentation for characterization and verification, focusing on RF for frequencies >100GHz.
* Actively participating in defining performance requirements and detailed test specifications.
* Continuously reviewing and improving measurement methods to ensure component reliability and performance consistency during development and production.
* Providing and updating documentation for all hardware installation and maintenance.
The Bigger Picture
You will be part of a dynamic R&D team consisting of 44 people. Your immediate team in test system development currently consists of 8 hardware engineers, and you will report to the Test Development Manager. The position requires a high level of expertise in RF, design of measurement setups, and the ability to lead complex projects. All activities take place at the manufacturing facility in Järfälla, and the position requires on-site work.
Our Expectations
We are looking for someone with an MSc or PhD in optoelectronics, electronics, physics, or mathematics. You have solid work experience from a test environment of opto/electronic components for RF and DC. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of Swedish is also advantageous.
To be successful in this role, you are accustomed to working on complex projects and towards set goals. You have excellent problem-solving skills, are analytical, and quality-conscious. We are looking for an innovative person who finds solutions both within and outside the box and readily shares their experience. Additionally, strong planning skills, systematic and structured work, and a hands-on mentality are essential.
