Will initially have the responsibilities of *designing, *building, *operating and *training for the monitoring infrastructure platform.
The monitoring platform will primarily be based on Zabbix and the necessary tools and components for integrating Zabbix with our Service Now instance to enable automated alerts and ticketing.
After design & build, the sysadmin is expected to train additional resources as required to maintain high system availability to the end-users as well as transitioning from an operations-focus to a governance focus that spans additional monitoring systems (such as Solarwinds, Observium, Azure monitoring and other similar tools).
Going forwards the individual is expected to be an adaptable team member who will be able to also be a part of other squads such as the Linux squad providing operational or governance services outside the scope of monitoring.

The sysadmin will support product owners by designing a monitoring platform in collaboration with SME:s an key-users for a broad flora of on-prem devices such as (but not limited to):
• Printers
• Hand-held devices
• Shopfloor Computers
• Moxa units
• Industrial PC
• Virtual Machines
• Oracle databases
• Industrial applications
• Network devices
• Datacenter devices
• building
The sysadmin will initially be required to build & install the Zabbix platform on a designated virtual Linux machine with the required components to support the tasks identified in the design phase.
• operating
The sysadmin will, after design and build, be responsible for maintaining high availability of the monitoring platform, including planning and performing patching activities and maintenance jobs.
• training
The sysadmin is expected to train additional resources that in turn will:
• Provide training and guidance to end-users in using the monitoring tools.
• Operate the monitoring platform on a 24/7 sla as part of the Monitoring squad in the platform services team.
