Technical area: Project Coordination and Management
Required education background and professional experience:
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Certification from relevant project management association is beneficial.
• Experience from complex development projects is beneficial
Required education background and professional experience
• Engineering degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience:
• Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience from project management and coordination.
• Experience from project planning using appropriate tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent
Personal profile:
• Good understanding for technical aspects of development project.
• Ability to work effectively in and with team(s).
• Uses initiative to identify and resolve problems/issues and has good judgement.
Scope of the assignment:
You will be embedded in the Planning and Coordination group, and will in practice be the "right hand" for the Detector WP leader.
The role includes but is not limited to providing the following support to work package leaders:
• Project planning.
• Define budget and follow-up on cost and budget.
• Project progress reporting.
• Plan, request and coordinate project resources.
• Change management e.g. change requests and prioritization.
• Manage contracts and contractors.
The role requires close communication with the NSS Planners & Controllers, the In-kind group, NSS Technical projects group and Instrument Projects. As most of the Instrument projects are being led by our In-kind partners including external companies, this will involve considerable communication with personnel from partner laboratories around Europe.
