Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a reliable and experienced Work Environment Coordinator. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will have a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The work environment coordinator will at the beginning act as BAS-P in the construction projects that are ongoing in Västerås and Skellefteå. You will also be an important part for supporting in the establishment of policies and plans that will create and maintain a safe workplace, and execute the routines for follow up of the same.

The work environment coordinator is, together with the Safety Manager, to ensure that everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws and that we follow the best practice in terms of health and safety in the Northvolt battery factory.

As a work environmental coordinator at Northvolt you must have the ability to pay attention to detail to identify hazards and potential risks.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Act as BAS-P in the construction projects
- Develop and execute health and safety goals and plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Develop a standardised approach and follow-up with the purpose of reaching best practise regarding exposures to chemicals
- Conduct training and educations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Design routines for the inspection of equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Provide technical support to Senior Management on health and safety related subjects

Education/Experience

- Bachelor 's Degree in engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in EHS Management Systems
- 5+ years of experience in Health and Safety services in construction or/and process industry, such as steel, chemical, gas/oil, nuclear
- Professional experience from acting as BAS-P and BAS-U within the construction sector
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and other management systems
- Good knowledge of risk assessment and human performance tools
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilitie
- Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
- Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background
- Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus

- Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a must
- Highly organized and result-driven

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world's greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt's team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe's largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
