Role Summary/Purpose
The electrical subsystem team is responsible for system integration for the complete electrical power generation and distribution system for an offshore wind farm.The main interfaces to other subsystems are the turbine shaft, torque brackets, mechanical structures and grid connections.The electrical power line of a wind turbine comprises all necessary equipment to take the mechanical power from the turbine shaft into electrical power through generator and converter.
Esssential Responsibilities:
The System Integration Leader Power Distribution and Electrical Protection - Offshore Platform will have ownership and responsibility for the mechanical and electrical design solutions on a system and subsystem level for the transformer, switchgear, grid circuit breaker and the electrical protection.
