Offshore Logistics Engineering Leader - Wind Offshore Platform Program
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Logistics Engineering Leader will support the Offshore Model Manager and System Integration Leaders to manage all design and development engineering activities that involves the different functions for Manufacturing, Transportation, Assembly, Installation and Commissioning as well as Service and Decommissioning within the offshore Wind Turbine Program.
Essential Responsibilities:
He/she will set up and facilitate design reviews for product manufacturability, transportability, serviceability etc. with the Technical Leaders, Principle/Consulting engineers or Chief Engineers.He/she will support Lean manufacturing and logistics initiatives from a design engineering perspective. An important part of the role is to provide engineering with feedback from the production, Installation, project management and service teams for continuously improvements of the product. He/She will work closely together with and coordinate all engineering contacts with third party suppliers regarding land and sea transportation as well as companies with a focus on service and maintenance in offshore environments.
