We're looking for experienced Backend Developers in Gothenburg who combine strong technical skills with ownership, curiosity and a genuine drive to move things forward.
We're open to both employment and freelance/subcontractor setups – so whether you're looking to join TECHLA or take on your next assignment as an independent consultant, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be working with
You'll join a development team at one of our clients, working with modern cloud-based backend services and complex technical challenges. Depending on the role, the stack may include Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS, Azure and Kubernetes.
You'll be part of a collaborative, DevOps-oriented team with responsbility for the full lifecycle of its services – from development and implementation to deployment, monitoring, operations and continuous improvement.
Your work may include:
Developing and maintaining backend services in Java, Spring Boot and/or Python
Designing scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS or Azure
Building REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
Working with Kubernetes and containerized applications
CI/CD, automation, monitoring and logging
Participating in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions
Skills & Qualifications
We're looking for someone with:
At least 5 years of backend development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java
Experience working with AWS and/or Azure
Experience building customer-facing systems
Fluent English communication skills
BSc/MSc in Engineering, IT or a related field
Good to have:
Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda and DynamoDB
Experience with CI/CD and/or DevOps practices
Previous experience with connected systems, IoT, automotive or telecom
