Volvo IT is now in an expansive phase in the Java Application Server area and we need to strengthen our team with additional staff. We work with clients both within and outside the Volvo Group. Within this area, you have good development opportunities and you will be an important part of Application Operation for our customers.
Job description:
You will be working with Application Operation mainly securing that the application is meeting the SLA:s defined. The work is mostly to support application development with deployments, tuning of application, incident and problem resolution from an application perspective. You will also be working with design and maintenance of various operational tools. The work will be done both for maintenance and projects.
Qualifications:
For this position we are looking for a candidate that have a strong customer focus and give them high quality service. You need to have open mind and good communications skills. You should have the ability to keep many tasks in the loop. For this position you need to have a structural way of working, good document skills and know how to share information?s to your coworkers.
For this position, we need a person with:
• Experience of installation, configuration, tuning of WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
• Web Server (apache / IHS)
• Knowledge of Unix and Linux
• Knowledge of deployment of Java applications
• General knowledge of Java
• Knowledge of other application servers are valuable
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You also have to be proficient in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
