About the job
The Techno Creatives will not bore you. We take on projects from our customers and develop them in-house with our designers, backend developers, strategists, and .. well... You. =) We merge the best of the consultancies (lots of new projects and challenges) with the best of product companies (togetherness and comradery with the people).
We generally work on small to medium-sized projects (max. 10 people). Some are external, like our various AI/ML plays, or platforms for automotive infotainment services, websites, AR, and a host of others. Some are internal, like our The Techno Creatives Originals series of projects with Elevate (our IoT platform).
Tech mix includes (but is not limited to =): React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Mapbox, SCSS, and more. Do you know Angular instead? Fine. No biggie.
We believe you will add value by bringing:
Experience with modern React (Hooks) / Angular and TypeScript.
Ability to implement coherent and reusable component hierarchies.
Demonstrable ability to use modern CSS effectively (ie, Grid and Flexbox).
A creative and explorative mindset.
Open-minded, team-oriented, and good communication skills.
Experience in not just building the FE of a web application, but delivering a solution to a problem whatever that may be
The will and drive to take an idea from inception to running on a web server, despite not being the expert in the steps that are required.
As an FE-oriented web developer, you know you have the most important job. Your work faces the customer. You like that. You probably have a couple of stories about times you had an idea and made a simple change to a flow/component/system that made the whole product suddenly make sense.
You know about mocking and creating APIs. We want to get to the point of creating something quicker because the sooner you create something the sooner you can get feedback and the better the product will be.
You know at least some things about the backend and can recognize common pitfalls and what not to do. You can argue for and against Rest / GraphQL. But you know it's not black and white. It never is. After all - it's not about the tech but what comes out of it.
You know docker and can set up your own environment. Git is second nature. You probably know a bit about working with no-code backends such as Firebase. And if you don't, you're happy to learn insofar as it helps accomplish your goals.
