We, in the Search team, develop the core features of Truecaller and we contribute to enhancing our users' communication experience by providing them with the most relevant identity information and state-of-the-art spam protection. Our vision is to provide the ultimate search engine for contact details for our users and keep their communication relevant and spam-free.
As a web developer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing more of the Truecaller offer to the Web.
You will work closely with the Team to finalize the scope and bring the requirements to life.
What do we expect from you
5+ years of experience in Web development
Experience in creating responsive websites using HTML and CSS/ SASS
Experience working with frameworks such as React or Vue
Good understanding of modern JavaScript development including application lifecycle, asynchronous server communication, and UI components
Comfortable writing server-side code in Node.js and have experience using Web frameworks such as Express.js
Know how to work with and configure build tools and bundlers such as webpack och rollup
You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Self-motivated
What will you work on
Work with the team to identify requirements and execute them
Write simple, understandable, testable, and efficient code with a focus on solid technical stability and great user experience
It would be great if you also have:
Experience writing universal JavaScript applications with frameworks such as Nuxt.js or Next.js
Experience with application state handling such as Redux
Experience working with mobile applications
Experience working on a product that's used by millions of users
Knowledge of end to end encryption; safe communication between backend and frontend and general security
