Available in more than 200 markets around the world, the PayPal platform, including Braintree, Venmo and Xoom enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.

In 2018, Zettle became part of the PayPal family to go further in its mission to help Small Businesses succeed in a world of giants. By giving them the tools to get paid, sell smarter and grow, we are empowering Small Business Owners to reach their full potential. Together, we're extraordinary. Together, we're made for more. Join us in putting an end to ordinary and redefine financial freedom. The best is yet to come.

As our quest to democratise financial services continues at blazing speed, our POS Alliance is on the lookout for an inspiring Frontend Developer with a Full Stack mindset to join its innovative cross-functional Cash Register Team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to tackle a wide range of technical challenges with the shared ambition to develop hassle-free solutions helping Sellers to thrive. Therefore, your daily mission will range from integrating with external partners to storing, processing, and exposing data while providing a premium end-to-end user experience for Merchants using Zettle's Cash Register.
Small minds never helped small businesses
At ZettlebyPaypal, we all believe that it takes originality and an open mind to start a business. That's why, while taking pride in how far we have come we have no intention of sticking to known patterns or old truths.
To carry out our revolution and help business owners to thrive, we rely on dedicated Teams embracing the opportunity to openly discuss and challenge each other on the best way forward. Here, we co-elaborate, co-own our successes as well as our setbacks, and make sure to learn and grow together. Are you with us?
A glimpse of what you would get here
Part of our Fast Informed Checkout Area, the Cash Register Team has for primary goal to grow our sellers with an intuitive and compliant PoS. In simple terms, the Team makes the magic happen by providing functionalities ensuring that merchants from all over the World can use Zettle's services and meet local regulations at all times.
Besides working with the Design Team to create a tailored user experience, your mission will include designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining services with a high degree of autonomy. In practice, it also means architecting your modules as well as consuming global components from our library and tokens from our design system.
In addition to join a crowd of talented individuals in an Agile environment, this is a role for someone on the hunt for an ecosystem enabling its people to continuously experiment and learn about new things to broaden their horizons.
The skills you need to succeed
Broadly speaking, the tech stack of our Cash Register Team comprises several layers such as Mobile (iOS and Android), Web, or Backend, and no need to say that we all work together to develop robust and evolutive solutions.
With that in mind, without being exhaustive, we think that the following skills and know-how would greatly help in this role:
Proven experience(s) with JavaScript, HTML and/or CSS, TypeScript.
Expertise with frameworks and libraries such as React, Redux, GraphQL, RxJS and Express.
Proven experience with test-driven development (Unit tests, E-2-E tests, Regression tests, etc.)
Good understanding of API design and how to consume them.

You don't have it all? No big deal, our Web Chapter will help you.
The traits to exceed
Lastly, it would be really great if as a colleague you are known for being:
A strong collaborator at ease with working in an agile environment.
Naturally interested in keeping up-up-date with the latest technological development.
Comfortable interacting with both internal and external partners.
Always up for understanding the full domain and learning about new platforms as well as new things in general.

Does this kind of sound like you?
If yes, let's take things further! Go on, hit apply and let's talk

We are all for equality for all
