As we continue our Quest to democratise financial services, our Fast Informed Checkout Area is on the lookout for an(other) inspiring Web Developer to join its innovative cross-functional Cash Register Team.
By stepping into this role, you will be offered opportunities to co-tackle a wide range of technical challenges with the shared ambition to develop hassle-free solutions helping small businesses succeed in a world of giants.
In this spirit, your day-to-day mission would range from integrating with external partners to storing, processing, and exposing data while providing a premium end-to-end user experience for Merchants using the Zettle Cash Register. A glimpse of what you would get here
Part of our PoS Alliance, the Cash Register Team has for primary goal to grow our sellers with an intuitive and compliant PoS. In simple terms, the Team makes the magic happen by providing functionalities ensuring that merchants from all over the World can use Zettle's services and meet local regulations at all times.
Besides working with the Design Team to create a tailored user experience, your contribution will notably include designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining services with a high degree of autonomy. More specifically, it also means architecting your modules as well as consuming global components from our library and tokens from our design system.
In addition to join a crowd of talented peers in an agile environment, this is a unique opportunity for someone on the hunt for an ecosystem enabling its people to continuously experiment and learn about new things to broaden their horizons.

The skills you need to succeed
Broadly speaking, the tech stack of our Cash Register Team comprises several layers such as Mobile (iOS and Android), Web, or Backend, and no need to say that we all work together to develop robust and evolutive solutions. With that in mind, we think that the following skills and know-how would greatly help you to be successful in this role:
Mastery of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, TypeScript
Expertise with frameworks and libraries such as React, Redux, GraphQL, RxJS and Express
Proven experience with test-driven development (Unit tests, E-2-E tests, Regression tests, etc.)
Good understanding of API design and how to consume them.

Earn bonus points if...
Apart from the above, you have experience with:
Ramda and Ruby (FYI, we're moving away from Ruby)
Webpack
Experience AWS cloud front and Terraform
ESLINT for TDD
