Are you our new Web Developer?

We are growing rapidly and now we are looking for a hardworking and passionate Web Developer to join the Marketing Studio team at our HQ in Stockholm. You will join a close-knit team of developers, designers and copywriters responsible for our biggest user-facing sites like klarna.com and my.klarna.com.

As Web Developer you will play an integral part in making sure our websites deliver the best possible user experience. You will have the opportunity to be present during the entire life-cycle of each solution - from understanding the business needs and objectives, through producing early concepts, to delivering polished high impact solutions.

Who are you?

You are a fast learner with a passion for quality. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment, interacting with a wide variety of personalities, and you do it with a service-minded attitude. You have outstanding attention to detail, great technical skills, and a constant desire to learn new things and improve your abilities.

To be successful in this role you need to be comfortable working towards tight deadlines in a structured manner and take responsibility for each delivery. Working with PHP, Javascript, CSS and HTML is second nature to you and you communicate effortlessly in English across all levels of an organization.

You work hard. You work with love. But most importantly, you want to be a part of spreading the Klarna values of making online shopping simpler, safer and smarter.

We believe that you will have:

At least two years of experience of web development
An Academic background in computer science, web development or a similar field
Fantastic skills in PHP, Javascript, CSS and HTML
A strong interest in the latest web development techniques and best practices
And if you combine these skills with a great enthusiasm and a desire to deliver the best possible user experience for our users, we won't hold it against you.

It's also good if you have...

Experience working in agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban
Experience with test-driven development
Experience with Laravel or a similar PHP framework
An interest in UX and visual design
Used a CSS preprocessor like SASS or LESS
Used PostgreSQL, MySQL or any other similar RDBMS
Used Git for version control (bonus points if you have a public GitHub repo we can have a look at)
