We are running an online exchange system for sport investments, TradeInSports.com, which is unique in the world of sports. On TradeInSports.com, individuals and companies make crowd investments in e.g. football players, golf players and racing horses, supporting athletes while standing a chance to gain profits. Our service makes it possible for the best athletes, regardless of means, to train and become champions in the sports they love and for sport fans to get behind the scenes of the sport world.
Web Developer
The platform TradeInSports.com was launched in may 2012. Having recently obtained funding, we will be scaling up during 2014 and are therefore looking for a talented Web Developer to join our team and help us create a great sport investing experience for our customers.
This employment constitutes a unique opportunity to join Trade in Sports in central Stockholm. As a Web Developer you will be given a lot of responsibility and autonomy in developing our exchange system. As we are still a small team of dedicated developers, you will be given a unique opportunity to shape the future of online sports trading.
Our trading platform is built on PostgreSQL/Java back-end and GWT/Java front-end. Our current focus is to develop a new mobile GUI which will eventually phase out our current desktop GWT GUI. One of your main tasks will be to implement the new mobile GUI in cooperation with a designer and to bring sports trading out to the live sport events.
You are passionate about developing domain driven high quality software for the web. You embrace new technology and the opportunity to contribute front- as well as back-end while taking responsibility for your deliverables through system testing. In addition, you find great motivation in entrepreneurship and the possibility to eventually become a co-owner through our stock program.
Requirements
Experience with Java (or other object oriented language) back-end programming and SQL servers
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, javascript and mobile development
Experience with client-side javascript frameworks
Experience with REST interfaces
Ability to work under pressure, independently and to prioritize.
Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables
Ambitious and independent self-learner with genuine interest for web development
Meriting skills
Interest in and understanding of financial and sport industry concepts and terminology
Experience with Google Web Toolkit
External service API integration, e.g. Payment service integration.
Spring for DB connection and object management. Mercurial and Maven for version management.
Basic Ubuntu Server and build system (Jenkins) management
