Development at Hemnet
The product teams at Hemnet are self-propelled and cross-functional, which gives you the opportunity to be a part of the entire product development cycle. We are data-driven and work in close collaboration with each other - exploring things, from the smallest to the biggest, that we test and iterate. We validate against real data so we don't have to waste time and instead learn a lot of new insights. Our millions of users give us quick feedback on what we build. Each agile team has plannings, sprints, retrospectives, demos and continuous delivery as part of everyday work life. Team Sellers' Experience
The team will consist of five Product Developers, one UX Designer, one Product Manager and one Development Manager working closely together to continuously deliver smart and valuable solutions to the users selling properties on Hemnet. The team mission is to provide the property seller with insights, services and products to get the most out of their selling experience to enable a successful property sale.
As a Web Developer in team Consider & Contact you will contribute to all stages in the product life cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance. You and your team implement the solutions the team have designed and deploy them to production several times a day. Together with the team you will have the ability to have a big impact on what we build and how we build it, as each team is in control of their own product decisions. Ways of working vary but pair-coding and mob-coding are a big part of knowledge sharing, as well as code reviewing.

Who we are looking for
You enjoy working in a team that is happy to test new approaches and enjoys working close to customers. You like product development and want to understand how the things you and the team decide to implement impact the experience for the end user. You understand the value of quick releases of features to increase learning and iteration . We are looking for you who enjoy having discussions around our insight of what our customers need to enjoy working with us.
You have been working with development for some time and are used to leading yourself and not afraid to take your own initiatives. You are a solid and seasoned developer, with experience in working with dynamically typed languages (Ruby, Python, Javascript, React etc.) You have a strong interest when it comes to system development, building short term and long term solutions in close collaboration with other developers. You understand the purpose of writing robust tests and of being a true TDD advocate.
