We are looking for a Web Developer to join our iZettle Growth Area. You'll be part of an Area that focuses on Growth of our merchant base by working on solutions to attract merchants and get them to see the value of our iZettle products. The mission of Growth Area is to inspire small businesses and seamlessly turning them into successful iZettle merchants. At iZettle you will work with a life-changing product for small businesses all around the world, with hundreds of thousands of users; helping our merchants to grow their business and therefore building a more democratic world.
Go where the people speak your language
You'll be in close contact with the design in order to create a tailored user experience to our merchants, as well as backend and mobile developers, developing a robust end to end solution catered to our user's needs. It's important that you have a basic understanding of API design and how to consume them, but don't sweat it, the team will be there to help you out.
You'll have the ability to architect your modules, at the same time as being able to consume global components from our library and tokens from our design system. You will be able to collaborate with other teams and web developers across the whole web chapter, by code reviews, bouncing back ideas or mob programming.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design, implement, debug, and maintain services and user interfaces with a high degree of autonomy
Work on interesting problems together with talented peers in cross-functional agile teams
Experiment and learn about design, technology and processes
The skills you need to succeed
Javascript, HTML and CSS.
Frameworks, libraries and technologies such as React, Redux, Styled Components.
Unit-testing your code.
Nice-to-have skills:
RxJS, Ramda
NodeJS, GraphQL
TypeScript and Ruby. The latter is something we're moving away from, but we still have some code in Ruby.
