KW Studios is an exciting and vibrant game development studio, with its foundations built on the success of the Raceroom game and the legacy of such hit products as the GTR and Race franchises. We're part of the huge KW Automotive group, a global force in performance suspension who put us in the unique position of having race sim software and hardware products under one virtual roof.
We are looking for a Web Back End Programmer to help reshape our core Raceroom platform, while having one eye on the future evolution of our race sim products. We're about to kick off an exciting new chapter in our development plans, and this position will put in the thick of the action.
The role requires a motivated, dynamic individual who works well in a group but also has the ability to act autonomously. You'll be working closely with our fantastic development, creative and production teams, but the distributed nature of our staff means you've got to be comfortable driving your own projects forward and bringing your own ideas to the table. Our small but perfectly formed team thrives on collaboration and a shared passion for sim racing.
Primary responsibilities:
Coding and updating backend services logic (C# or Python or Node.js)
Incorporating databases, queues, external API's
Coding and maintaining of GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Maintaining and updating cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes)
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience building web backend applications in Python or C#.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
Experience managing Linux servers.
Experience with source control using Git.
If any of the following describes you it will be a big plus:
Experience with Pyramid or Flask.
You have worked with distributed scalable systems.
You have worked with E-commerce systems.
You work in Linux environment
You contribute with open source projects
You have worked with any of these tools: Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Elasticsearch.
You have an interest in games, cars, motorsports.
