MSX International is currently seeking a key individual with strong drive and commitment.
As a Controller/Finance Manager, you are an integral part of the management body and work actively with the development of the company. You are responsible for the finance department and our financial procedures including accounting and reporting. In your role, you will be given the space to support the development of our business with analyses and proposals for improvements aimed at driving growth and profitability.
The role involves driving and developing work in our finance department which is undergoing a period of expansion. You will play an active role in strategic issues while also working operatively with a very "hands on" approach.
Duties
• Take responsibility for ongoing financial work in our Nordic enterprise.
• Adopt a forward-looking approach with respect to budgets, analyses, forecasts and monitoring.
• Take responsibility for the monthly closing process and financial statements.
• Take responsibility for ensuring we follow national regulations for accounting and reporting.
• Work methodically together with our Nordic CEO and management body to increase turnover and profitability.
• Drive or participate in strategic development initiatives.
• Take overall responsibility for procurement and suppliers as well as for our office.
• Personnel management responsibilities and supervisory responsibilities for three-four individuals.
Who are you?
We are seeking a candidate who has previous experience of similar positions. You need to have experience in and a passion for working in a commercially-oriented and forward-looking manner. You are also confident in directing work in accounting, reporting, financial statements, budgets and taxation.
You are an individual skilled in supporting others within the organisation and have the ability to see the big picture amidst the details. You can drive change in order to develop and streamline the finance department as well as contribute to the development of our entire enterprise. We value that you are performance-driven, meticulous, have outstanding communication skills and can set priorities effectively based on a wide range of duties but also needs within the company. As we are an international company, you must be fluent in both Swedish and English, in writing and verbally.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
• University degree in business economics.
• At least 5-10 years experience from qualified financial work as well as experience working as a controller and/or finance director.
• Experience of working with budgets, forecasts, monitoring and decision-making.
• Thorough knowledge of VAT treatment, international accounting rules and tax regulations.
• Experience in driving strategic improvement work with the aim of increasing turnover and profitability would be considered a major advantage.
• Preferably experience from having worked with several of our Nordic countries.
• Experience from an international, cost-effective and rapidly-growing environment would be considered a major advantage.
• Experience from project accounting would be considered a major advantage.
• Experienced user of Microsoft's Office suite and an advanced user of Excel, and accounting and reporting software, preferably Oracle PBCS and JD Edwards.
