Do you take great pride in improving electrical designs in regards of EMC? Do you smile when the designs have been verified in a complete system installation?
In that case, you would fit right into our EMC team, improving the EMC environment of our trucks at the Volvo Group. We are looking for a person that enjoys finding early design faults so that the EMC issues can be avoided early in our projects and to support the component owners & projects with EMC expertise. So who are we?
We are the Group for Hardware & Framework Verification at Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Volvo Group Trucks Technology in Gothenburg!
And what do we do?
We conduct formal verification of the electrical system with focus on EMC. Furthermore we are responsible for coordination and planning of the EMC area globally for our Heavy Duty range of trucks. Within our scope of responsibility lies the work with development of new test methods, processes, tools and the need for test equipment.
Why do we do that?
We do this in order to secure that the electrical system (the soul of the truck) is behaving according to requirements as well as Volvos high expectation on our products and thereby being a candidate for release.
In essence we are a group of highly motivated and skilled engineers that love our work and use our creativity and current tools to secure product quality. As a part of this group you will get a very good overview of the trucks complete electrical system and the trucks functionality.

Who are you?
Well, we believe that you are genuinely interested in electronics engineering and have a high quality awareness. Requirements
M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or recognised equivalent
Knowledge and experience of product development and/or verification
Fluent in written and spoken English
