The department, Systems Engineering, is responsible for the development of the electrical & electronics architecture as well as maintaining and supporting the current architecture and system within Volvo GTT. We are a team of employees and consultants located in Gothenburg and we are working in an international environment together with colleagues from around the world.
As a system leader you will have a key role during pre-study and concept development of new features and architectural changes to the electrical system. You will have the responsibility to develop and propose technical solutions and to get these approved and communicated both internally and externally within the global electrical & electronics organization. You will be responsible for analysis, specification and managing system requirements as well as proposing allocation of new functionality during early phases of development. You will also work with ensuring that EE system strategies are followed and specified in the development of future system solutions. You will be required to understand how the EE system is used in our products and how it enables the functionality of the vehicles. You will also take part in further development of processes and methods within the system development area.
Depending on personal skills, experience and interest there are also possibilities to participate in advanced engineering projects.
We are looking for two experienced system engineers who are structured, thorough and have an open minded and positive attitude. You need to be good at cooperating with others and to have a good sense of responsibility and to be able to drive and resolve technical issues. You should know how to create an overview of the system and highlight the important details in recommended solutions.

Qualifications
MSc electrical engineering, computer science or similar
Very good understanding of system development of embedded real-time systems
Good understanding of embedded software and HW development
Good understanding of model based development
Analytical and communicative
Business and customer oriented
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Experience from the automotive industry is meriting
The position can include occasional travelling within our global organization.
