Within Prototype Purchasing & Procurement Powertrain in Gothenburg and Logistic Platform GOT we are responsible to procure and buy prototype parts, goods receiving, storage, shipments and quality control on incoming goods in order to support the powertrain GOT area.

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, picking, storing and handle shipments of prototype and production parts arriving in Lundby. These parts may be shipped to Skövde, Köping or to Volvo sites around the world.

It is our job to secure the delivery of parts for Powertrain in Lundby and work together with the designers, engineers and Project Builds project leaders to safe guard the project builds taking place mainly in Sweden but we do support other countries as well.

You need to be a problem solver, to enjoy working according to process but have the ability to be creative when necessary!

Responsibilities
• Pick and store parts aimed for powertrain
• Goods receipt of incoming material
• Handle and prepare shipments
• Fork lift driving, occasional but requiring high precision
• Work in close cooperation with customers, mainly within Volvo Powertrain
• Support quality investigations with handling and inspection of components
• Using the Volvo systems for picking and storing

What we are looking for
• Experience from working in a warehouse and/ or workshops
• Good administrative and computer skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish
• Experience of working in a company with Product Development and/or Manufacturing
• Forklift and driver's license
• A good truck and/or powertrain knowledge is an advantage
• Knowledge of Volvo's GLORIA and KOLA systems is an advantage
