AXEL is looking for an innovative and creative Senior Development Engineer. You will be part of the Development Group Team and work together with other Engineers in Nol, but also within the AXEL group.
AXEL is working on the front line, constantly evolving to meet the customer’s demands. You will be responsible for, or take part in, different lubricating grease development projects, which can be improvements of already existing products, development of new greases, improvements of production processes and also development of testing methods. Development projects are carried out in close collaboration with other parts of the organisation, such as Sales or Purchasing, which will make you an essential part of the organisation. The position will include some travel, since the AXEL Group is spread over three sites.
Management of the development projects, as well as the functional coordination of the technical development group, is the responsibility of the Group Technical Manager, who is located at the company’s head quarters in Nol, Sweden. Nol is situated 25 km North of Gothenburg. With public transportations it takes approximately 25 minutes from the city centre of Gothenburg.
Besides a technical mindset and a genuine interest in product development, you are a service minded person who enjoys teamwork. You should hold a BSc or MSc degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, etc. You probably have 4-6 years experience in R&D and a clear understanding of commercial needs and priorities. Very good knowledge in English and/or French, both written and spoken is required as well.
