Job Description:
The mission for the Application Operation Professional (AOP) is to carry out application transition and application operation activities in production environments.
The AOP is operating applications, including day to day tasks like job scheduling, application monitoring or incident resolution as well as more mid/long term tasks like proactive problem management, optimization or lifecycle management of application infrastructure environment. The AOP can participate in one time activities for application infrastructure delivery.

The AOP focuses on event, incident, problem, knowledge and change management processes, essential for runtime quality of the application. The AOP is also responsible for operational documentation for implemented application components.

The AOP contributes with knowledge of business processes, application portfolios and interaction with solution delivery stakeholders. The AOP ensures quality and continuous improvements with respect to availability, capacity, security and IT service continuity in delivered application operation and application hosting services interacting with infrastructure teams working with transition and operation. Furthermore, the AOP secures compliance with agreed delivery times and performance targets.

Participation in projects together with Volvo Group IT SDU including planning, testing and preparation of changes to the production environment.

Technical Skills required:

Essential:
• Linux/ Unix server Operations
• Java Application Support

Desirable:
• JDEdwards CNC
• WebLogic Administration
• knowledge on other Middlware technologies

Key responsibilities :
• Day-to-day activities managing applications (incidents, tasks, changes, etc.)
• Proposal, implementation of manageable solutions in production environment
• Technical study on projets (database structure, background jobs scheduling)
• Handle environments (Tests, QA, Production)
• Help application support team
• Installation, configuration and deploy applications and software
• Database administration
• Scheduling management
• Key Indicators : mangement and monitoring
• Documentation on applications (installation, recovery, deploy, etc)
Technical Requirements:
Application Support, Application Operations, Application Change Management,Application Incident Management, Application Monitoring, Application Problem Management, Application Production Support Operations, Application Release/Deployments,Batch Monitoring & Scheduling, Market Data Services, OTHER

Main responsibilities:
• Application installation/configuration
• Testing (infrastructure)/error determination
• Coordination of Infrastructure & Operations related activities
• Participation in deployment projects
• Developer support
• Participating in projects as Application Operation representative
• Change, Problem and Incident Management
• Scripting for automation and support
• Solve and follow up on 3rd level cases

Qualifications and skills:
• Very deep experienced in Redhat
• Very deep experienced in Oracle Database
• Very deep experience of JDE CNC
• Very good understanding of hardware infrastructure and networking
• Experienced working in a team as well as independently
• Experience as a solution architect is considered an additional
qualification

Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and conversation skills in Swedish & English (Verbal and Written)
• Good documentation skills
• Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including and Visio)
• Should have a great customer handling skills
• Able to handle unforeseen situations
• Good understanding of ITIL V3 framework
• Can drive HCL's value and its methodology
• Worked on Production systems
• Good Understanding of Data Centre Technologies
