The position is open to both Stockholm residents and for applicants who would like to try working in Stockholm, see the end of the ad.
We need people who are positive, thourough, flexible and can keep a kitchen spanking clean - who are not afraid to work hard on the nicest days of the summer. In return we offer a unique opportunity to gelatomaking from scratch. Age and education is irrelevant next to a positive personality. Experience of icecream production or kitchen work in general is a plus but not an absolute must.
What we do and who we are
Stikkinikki AB is a small family operated business making and selling gelato - Italian style icecream. The one thing we want to be best at is to make the best possible icecream - in taste and in how healthy it is. We use organic stuff only and never ever any artificial chamical additives. Instead we make our gelato and everything that goes into it fresh every day.
Nikki and her helpers have since we started in 2008 created more than 600 unique flavors and recipes and we have become well known not only for making our own versions of childhood favorites but also for our very creative and unusual flavors and combinations. All icecream is made in our store on Götgatan and delivered daily to our other stores, at present 5 of them around cental Stockholm.
About the job
Making gelato is hard work. Hardest when the weather is the best. On the best sunmer days we make over 1.000 kilos of gelato in a very small area under time pressure, usually with Nikki herself in the thick of it. If hard work, early mornings and sometimes long days doesnt scare you off we can offer you a unique chance to work at a very special company and learn things you will not learn elsewhere about icecream making. For the right person with ambitions we will be able to dicuss further development within the company at the end of the season, but the first season you will be consumed with gelato production. Efficiency, speed, resilience are key words any day in our kitchen - but keeping the kitchen spanking clean at all times is as important.
Our season starts around Easter weekend and we will hold introduction courses for all new employees before that, even if the production will mainly be learned side by side with Nikki during shifts.
