Then consider this job to be the first treasure you encounter in the game of devops!Missions inthe Visit Groupgame can be like:- Hosting our public/private cloud hybridand level upcontinuous delivery
• Defend your castlefrom peasant(i.e.our developers)attacksand manage duels (IaC)with other tribes(e.g. our hosting partner and tech suppliers) trespassing on to your territory
• Find and mine gold and visit the marketplace to bargain for new weaponry and armour (Maintaining and managing projects on licenses andupgrades of storage and capacity -including some budget issues, yes)
• Find your way through heavily mined courses (Disaster Recovery-plans)
And this comes with game play elementslike RabbitMQ, mongodb, Elastic Search, Influxdb, Grafana, Kibana, Teamcity, VMWare, vSphere, SQL serveretc.
And to fight the boss, you probably need to have gained or collected:- Some 1000 hoursexperience from platform games (hosting things for a product company)
• Respect in your clan from succeeding with missions like the ones mentioned above (You might be "junior" but you are dead serious at work)
• A magic shield to protect you when the mages start castingcloud hosting spells like Azure (no explanation needed)
Of course we know that there is no such thing as academic studies or some kind of Hogwart's to learn everything about the power needed to fill this role. And just because of that, we want you to have a strong motivation to learn and develop.
