hela Sverige You will be a part of the global Network Operations team which operates WAN, LAN and Network security, handles the daily operation and resolves up to 97 % of all incidents. The purpose of Operations team is to ensure a secure, stable and efficient operation environment, built on products and instructions from Product Management.
Job description
This role requires an experienced network person with proven communication skills. We assume you have specialized in both LAN and WAN environments, experience from other areas inside of Network area is also positive. As a WAN/LAN Operations Technician, your talent for understanding Network and Security infrastructure and our customers need will be invaluable, and you will also have practical skills in working "hands-on"
Together with your colleagues in the global organization you will work in a virtual Network Operation team for Network.
You will work in a team with other Operation technicians at different sites but also very close to the Product Management personal, technicians as well as the Product Managers and Global Product Area manager for Network.
This position also takes part of the On Call Team meaning you will have on call duties on a regularly basis. This requires that you have a driver license.
Qualifications
For this position we are looking for a candidate that have a strong customer focus, are service minded and result driven. You need to have analytic skills, ability to prioritize also goal and result oriented with an open attitude. You should have the ability to keep many tasks in the loop. For this position you need to have a structural way of working, good document skills and know how to share information?s to your coworkers.
For this position, we need a person with;
• Minimum 5 year's working experience in the WAN and LAN operations area
• Broad IT knowledge especially in Cisco Hardware, OSI model, TCP-IP Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast
• Routing knowledge (eigrp, ospf)
• Riverbed knowledge (wan optimization)
• Knowledge in BGP routing, QoS, Ipsec and GRE
• Knowledge in faultracing using the tools wireshark, netflow and ntop
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You also have to be proficient in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
