Variability Reduction Team (VRT) is a part of Volvo Cars Torslanda's (VCT) Quality department and work in a both challenging and exciting working area. Are you ready for the challenge to become a part of and strengthen the VCT Quality team? We are now looking for one VRT Leader to join our team.
What you'll do
Main tasks as a VRT leader is to lead and drive quality improvements both within the cross functional team as well as within the three-month ownership for end customer (3MIS) for the present car models in running production. The The role as VRT leader is a key role within Plant Quality. The daily work is prioritized due to both external and internal indicators that steer the need of actions. The role is valid in seven main areas, Software/Electrical, Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain, Chassis, Interior/climate, Exterior and Painted Body & Closures. You will report to Manager VRT and Quality management. You will also:
* Monitor and act upon external and internal quality indicators. Lead and coach the VRT team in the daily work, so that the team is able to reach the set quality targets
* Secure that the follow up board for VRT (Kanban/Dashboard) is continuously updated and up to date
* Drive the work with Interim Containment Action (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Action (PCA) to secure both product and process, in cooperation with Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Geometry, Research & Development, Customer Service and Purchasing
* When required initiate and be present at kick-off meetings and pre-meetings in VCT
Do you fit the profile?
* University degree in technical areas or equal work experience
* Project leader (Leadership) experience
* Six Sigma, Black or Green Belt.
* Fluent in English and Swedish (written/spoken).
* Experience from problem solving in quality issues.
* Good knowledge about our products.

You are team oriented with a holistic approach and you enjoy working with tasks where you use your communicative and pedagogical skills. You have good cooperation skills and ability to lead and develop networks, teams and individuals. You empower your team and have a comprehensive view and high integrity. You have a structured way of working and like to plan in a strategic way.
