Job Summary

Part of VCE global ME & VPS team, this position is dedicated to dealer development.
Provide a central service to support Regions, Hubs and Dealers in running VPS improvement initiatives in the dealer network. The objective is to provide practical assistance in implementing business improvements working alongside nominated champions in the dealer's organisation.

Main Tasks

• Through a practical hands-on approach, apply the VPS methodology to reduce waste and increase efficiency in the dealer's business, improve the
customer experience and help the dealer drive their financial performance.
• Run VPS workshops at the dealer's location.
• Raise the competence of VPS ambassadors in the dealer network, so improvements can be promoted and shared.
• Demonstrate evidence-based success; presenting findings to senior management.
• Review progress with Regions, Hubs and Dealer champions to ensure improvements are embedded.
• Understand the current situation relating to site/process/function performance, current roadmaps, current leadership behaviour and organisational
culture
• Benchmark within Volvo Group and externally to ensure best practices are available to CE and Dealer
• Support the development/maintenance of the CE CI system (based on the VG overall framework) with collaboration of functional representatives
• Support the development/maintenance of the overall production system framework and content for Order To Delivery (VPS), ensuring close
collaboration with process leaders
• Support sites to identify improvement potential and provide subject matter expertise to help close gaps
• To support management teams to develop strategic and tactical roadmaps to close the gaps between current and future state
• Contribute to designing and developing CI related training packages
• Train, coach and challenge sites/functions to close competence, behaviour and knowledge gaps
• Promote the sharing and application of best practices across Dealers/sites through knowledge sharing events

• Highly numerate and able to use IT tools such as MS Excel to an intermediate or advanced level.

• Fluent in English, written and spoken, other languages an advantage
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively as required

Additional Requirements

• Preferred location is Gothenburg or in one of the Volvo CE sites in Europe
• Candidate will travel extensively
• Fluency in English is required, other languages are a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Experience and Professional Qualifications required for the position:
• A minimum of 15 years work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive and preferably at least 10 years working as VPS/Lean
Manufacturing Director in a manufacturing site.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise and successful transformation projects lead in one or more areas within VPS, preferably Internal Logistics
• Demonstrated experience in leading or supporting major transformation project such as Master plan transformation, new process introduction
reaching higher level of Quality and efficiency
• Experience of working in dealer operations would be desirable.
• Good understanding of the Volvo Group and Volvo CE core values and brand image
• Practical experience of change management programmes in business operations.

Educational Qualifications

A university degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
