In Tuve plant a lot of positive things have happened the last few years and we have a high improvement pace. We are steadily moving towards our goal of improving our Lean journey and our Tuve plant image, to be the obvious choice as a plant, for our customers and for current and potential employees.
Who are you?
The VPS coach is a humble person that loves to succeed with a strong drive to improve. You are not afraid to support managers and a key task is to develop the coaching leadership in the plant. The VPS coach has confidence, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn. Another important trait is the ability to adapt his or her way of coaching, meeting the people where they are. Having experience in Lean and the concerned VPS tools and methodology is highly relevant but your attitude and change management skills are crucial.
The VPS coach is a very important change agent, and the position is a clear path for leadership development. This is a great opportunity to enhance both your knowledge of lean principles and your soft skills. You need to be fluent in Swedish and English - both written and spoken.
This is a daytime work, so you will work from Monday to Friday.
What is the job?
The purpose and content of the role is to coach and support Volvo Trucks in Tuve by counting to work VPS.
You are a part of the extended Quality & VPS management team leading a support function role by transferring knowledge to build autonomous team. You will also play an important role in the organization by supporting the continuous improvement journey in the material handling area. You report to the Director Quality and VPS and will be placed at the Tuve plant in Gothenburg in the heart of Swedish industry.
Main tasks:
Support the knowledge and understanding of the tools and VPS principles in the organization - Perform VPS and tool trainings
Coach and support improvement activities, e.g., Kaizen event, QRQC, std. work, 5S etc.
Coach performance activities, e.g., policy deployment, gap analysis, roadmap, OMS linked to KPI: s
Be an active contributor to the VPS network within and between plants in GTO and promote best practice sharing and benchmarking.
Speak up and influence to create positive change
Be an active contributor to the VPS and Quality team
Promote sharing of best practices (Peer to peer concept)

Knowledge about Lean philosophy, problem solving and continuous improvement
An inspiring, inclusive, cooperative personality
Gemba skills (observation, coaching, communication...)
Have confidence and curiosity in own ability
Business oriented with an ability to work cross functionally
