hela Sverige Connected Solutions is a newly established unit that will lead the development of the Volvo Group's connected solutions and supporting capabilities to further strengthen the Volvo Group position and competitiveness in the area.
As Vice President Technology you will be responsible for development and maintenance of the core platform and enablers over the life-cycle of all services, components, tools and frameworks within the function. The Core Platform includes services such as vehicle communication, activation, and master data integration together with the management of the platform information model (e.g. organization, fleet, vehicle and user). Enablers includes the shared infrastructure services (e.g. firewalls, shared infrastructure, public cloud setup) development tools/services, and development frameworks. To achieve this you will work very closely with all parts of the organization within Connected Solutions, but also with our main suppliers in the area. The role requires an agile and networked based leadership style, open mindset and passion to deliver value for our customers.
The position reports to the SVP Connected Solutions and is a member of the Connected Solutions management team.
Key Responsibilities
As Vice President Technology, your key responsibilities are:
• Ensuring overall quality and performance of the platform
• Responsible for the delivery of new development, roll-out and enhancement projects within the function
• Drive continuous improvements of the platform operation to optimize performance and cost level
• Establish and maintain core platform and enablers technology roadmap
• Collaborate with functions within Connected Solutions as well as relevant commercial and engineering teams within the Volvo Group to enable successful execution
• Develop the team and lead the day to day business
• Be a member of Connected Solutions Management team. As a member of the management team you will be involved in business development activities and other projects.
Location & Timeline
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional travel is expected. The final date of sending your application is May 29th.

Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
• Experience and proven track record of leading software engineering, agile development and delivering managed services in cloud as well as on premise
• Great interest in the evolution of telematics- / IoT platforms and passion to keep up to date with technology development to be able to drive make or buy decisions
• Experience from platform development & management of transaction intensive IT solutions
• Experience in working with continuous improvements
• Leadership experience and proven track record of leading leaders and teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team.
• Excellent professional skills and ability to work in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment.
