The mission will be to manage the area Sourcing Common Components in Purchasing Group Trucks Technology. In this role you will be responsible for the Purchasing Segment Strategy and the annual or long term contract negotiation. The responsibility covers sourcing activities up to contract signature and you will manage the overall supplier relationship and coordinate them with the other functions within GTT purchasing as Project execution, current business management and SQA.
You will lead and drive a highly competent team in a global environment. The main interfaces will be with Engineering and projects. The main external interfaces will be supplier's sales departments or management.
An important task is to continually inspire, challenge and develop the team to reach the agreed targets, follow up and drive efficiency in the team.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and drive the Purchasing Segment Strategy
Source Components within the ?Common Components? scope (to the best QDCF level
Secure the delivery of the annual or long term contract negotiation
To cover and drive the sourcing activities up to contract signature
To drive the overall supplier management
Support and implement common Purchasing processes
Secure that the deliverables of the Common components organization are delivered according to agreed targets and within agreed budget frames
To continually inspire, challenge and develop the team in Common components area and to be a strong team player
Education and training required for the position:
Hold a university degree and / or an MBA
Formal training in leadership, communication and people skills would be valuable
Competence required Volvo Leadership level ?leading leaders?
Experience and knowledge required for the position:
Able to demonstrate successful international business experience within a global network
As a minimum 5 years of senior line management experience
Extensive knowledge in the Purchasing sourcing area
Very good understanding of the Volvo Group Businesses
As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required
Able to demonstrate a clear vision, global mindset and successful people & culture leadership
Show a real talent for global and cultural integration is the minimum
