Mission

The position owns all sales and marketing responsibilities within VFS EMEA.This includes achieving sales and profitability targets as well as managing the commercial/strategic cooperation between VFS and Group Trucks Sales (GTS), Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Buses.

Main activities and responsibilities
• Working closely with senior management/executives at VFS and the Volvo Group Business Areas, develop and steer the execution of the VFS commercial strategy and business plans
• Achievement of profitability & sales targets, as well as driving continuous improvements towards competitive cost structures and increased productivity
• Maximize growth and new business development, within VFS risk and pricing parameters, with a strong focus on interest spread, fee income and Return on Equity, while securing quality of the portfolio
• Proactively manage and enhance the VFS market position, managed assets, overdue and write-off ratios, operating income, selling expenses and resources to ensure business performance
• Effectively manage the complete business cycle to ensure stable performance of the retail and wholesale portfolio
• Provide leadership in developing the marketing approach for VFS EMEA, including clear, structured segmentation and key account management
• Provide strong leadership for direct reports and the whole VFS EMEA organization, reflecting Volvo core values and attitudes
• Represent VFS in relevant management forums of assigned Business Areas or GTS relevant sales regions, as part of managing the business relationship
• Proactively identify and drive initiatives to instill customer focus and excellent service throughout the organization. Meet customer needs and manage relationships with customers and dealers on a continuous basis
• Develop and execute a clear customer acquisition and retention strategy across the region, based on segmentation, risk, pricing and customer service
• Lead and develop further the insurance business of VFS, identify new ancillary income sources for VFS. Ensure commercialization of new financial products and services, including focusing on bundled offers for customers
• Enthusiastically contribute as member of the VFS EMEA Executive Management team, cross-functionally, and from a full understanding of the overall business strategy of VFS

Critical competencies for the position

With a real talent for cultural integration and business analysis the VP Sales and Marketing VFS EMEA hold a university degree and are able to demonstrate successful international and multi-cultural business experience. As VP Sales and Marketing VFS EMEA you need to have as a minimum of 10 years of senior line management experience with direct responsibility for sales and marketing. This also includes experience of working with captive finance for commercial vehicles.

Demonstrating a high and solid level in each of the Volvo Group Leadership competencies for the Leading leader level, the VP Sales and Marketing will be an inspiring and inclusive leader as well as an active team worker.

As a person you are highly target-driven, self-motivated and with the strong ambition to build foundations for long term business relations. The position demands strong strategic planning and analytical skills as well as professionalism and integrity. As all documentation is in English, high proficiency in the English language is required.
