Atlas Copco's Board of Directors announced in January 2017 that it will initiate work in order to propose to the AGM in 2018, to decide on a split of Atlas Copco into two parts. Epiroc, the mining and infrastructure part, will be de-merged and separately listed next year, subject to shareholders' and stock exchange approvals. Epiroc will be a leading global productivity partner in the mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries.
Corporate responsibility, sustainability and living in accordance with the Code of Conduct is a top priority for the Epiroc Group. It is also very important to install pride among employees and to attract future employees. More than anything else it assures customers that we are the right partner for them, today and in the future. We have a strong foundation for corporate responsibility in place. We have clear priorities and strategies. We know what we want to do and why, and we know how to measure the results. A committed work in these areas not only strengthens the corporate brand but also increases operational efficiency. To ensure successful results we have appropriate guidelines and policies in place, and provide support and training to Epiroc companies. Communicating our achievements internally and externally is key. The main tools in this respect are the Code of Conduct, the integrated Annual Report, on-line media, and various training modules.
We are looking for a Vice President Corporate Responsibility, who will safeguard that we continue to develop our corporate responsibility work and communicate what we do.
Mission
As Vice President Corporate Responsibility, you will be the Group's main spokesperson in corporate responsibility related issues, both internally and externally. Your job will include improving knowledge and understanding of our priorities and strategies among employees. You will not do this alone. There are councils and key people within Epiroc that you will cooperate with and you will work closely with the divisions, who will drive the work within their areas of responsibility. As part of your responsibilities you will lead the work with the sustainability information in the integrated annual report, and regularly be responsible for answering questions/questionnaires from various stakeholders, including investors. You will also support investor relations with information and by attending investor and analyst meetings. Your will organize stakeholder dialogues to give and get feedback on our sustainability efforts and how we can improve. Frequently, you will represent Epiroc in internal and external meetings and networks. You will report to the Senior Vice President Corporate Communications. You will work closely with the Communications team and other members of Group Management.
Experience requirements
You have experience from working with sustainability in a global operation or organization. Ideally, you also have experience from mining/extractive industries and/or emerging markets.
Knowledge
You have a degree in journalism, business administration, law, sustainability or in public/international relations. Fluent in English (more languages is an advantage including Swedish) and you are a very good writer. Knowledge of international ethical guidelines, related legislation, sustainability reporting standards, etc. It is helpful if you have a network among other successful international companies and key organizations as this will get you up to speed faster.
Personality requirements
You have leadership, project management experience and analytical skills. You are organized and efficient. You have social skills and must be able to handle stressful and unexpected situations. You are living and breathing corporate responsibility and sustainability and love to share these values with others.
