• Responsible for Uniper-wide steering of the sourcing activities for the spend categories in the area of Nuclear & Hydro power plants (including hydro turbines & generators, gates, radiation protection, reactor floor service, nuclear decommissioning)
• Manage (functional steering where legally necessary, otherwise disciplinary steering) a team of experienced Category Managers located in Sweden and Germany, taking full responsibility for the strategic and tactic sourcing activities related to the respective spend categories
• Lead, instruct, supervise, support and challenge the category managers and continuously develop Uniper's sourcing strategy for the respective categories regarding saving potentials, standardization of specifications and contracts forms, new sourcing channels and supplier development
• Liaise with technical counterparts in the different Uniper businesses in order to reflect business needs; promote and drive cross-functional and cross-border cooperation, staff and lead category-focused deep dive projects on saving potentials and effective implementation measures
• Take full responsibility and accountability for the Uniper-wide spend forecasting, definition of saving potentials, negotiation and target as well as saving target achievement
• Take responsibility about audit, compliance, HSE and CR due to special importance of procurement to control negative incidents at market interfaces (compliance) and/or along the supply chain (especially HSE for contractors or CR aspects of sourcing channels)
• Act as responsible interface of Procurement - Regional Mandate Sweden - with Workers Councils as far as measures are concerned that affect workers councils-relevant topics (e.g. standards and categories affecting work conditions)
• Act as Procurement leader interface on executive level to the Uniper Stakeholders in Sweden and in Hydro fleet Germany, with a focus on understanding and capturing business needs. Ensure alignment on priorities, roadmaps and strategies between the respective businesses and Procurement
• Leadership, steering and management of supplier relationship within tenders and negotiations as well as in pre-tender discussions, prequalification processes and claim management; strategic development and control of business-critical supply chains
• Proactively collaborate within Direct Spend teams, with the Spot Buy, Performance & Innovation and Indirect teams and jointly drive highly efficient processes in daily operation works
• Promote and facilitate continuous skills people development within the team as well as actively contribute to best practice sharing within Procurement
This positions requires security clearance and drug test.
Qualifications
• Relevant university degree
• Several years of experience in strategic sourcing and/or management responsibility in related business areas (demand carrier)
• Leadership experience
• Experience with selecting and implementing state-of-the art solutions for automation of procurement operations.
• Inter-disciplinary insight into technical, commercial and legal aspects of the respective business
• Ability to understand demand carrier needs, grasp quickly fundamental economic drivers and key risks and help to transfer them into lean and reliable process solutions
• Significant negotiation experience in an international environment
• Highly analytical work approach
• Good understanding for processes and IT applications, ability to translate business requirements into efficient and stable solutions
• Strong and proven Stakeholder management skills
• International experience and intercultural skills
• Fluency in English and Swedish, further languages (e.g. German) of advantage
