At Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks Strategic Product Planning group, we bring insights with our customer and industry vertical knowledge, our understanding of current and future business and with a long-term perspective, we guide the organization to capture customer value and business opportunities.
We are now looking for a Strategic Product Planner Volvo Trucks & COE
The Position:
The mission in this role is to identify, lead and drive the implementation of creative, value adding relevant product improvements for FH/FM range from a business perspective.
In this role you will be cooperating with Strategic Product Planning department, Vehicle Engineering, Volvo Trucks brand and synchronizing with Renault Trucks brand to secure the planning and initiation of the necessary Cab Over Engine (COE) product and platform evolution.
(Cab over engine refers to European heavy duty truck architecture)
Your keys responsibilities will be the following:
Drive necessary strategic investigation with purpose of defining / refining Product Events and stream technical development with market and customer knowledge.
Secure the synchronization with Renault Trucks Product Plan for Cab Over Engine platform needs.
Drive the development of related product evolution through prerequisites by networking with all involved parties within Strategic Product Planning and other departments that contribute.
Guide cross functional organizations to the right product evolution answering Product Events, balance proposals in close collaboration with Vehicle Engineering and Volvo Trucks Brand. Participate as team member into the vehicle streams.
Be the Volvo Trucks Business keeper in the vehicle stream development.
Support the Long-Term Volume Forecast release with Volvo Trucks volume break down
Develop market knowledge and new business opportunities through Industry Vertical Investigations
To be successful in this task, you will leverage SPP department to support the best product plan together with the Volvo Truck brands, Vehicle Engineering department and different engineering functions.

Financial and business case analysis and a good business understanding are key to develop a profitable product plan for Volvo Trucks.
Of course, you must also demonstrate knowledge and interest in the new technologies, being part of the Volvo Trucks transformation toward sustainable transport is a real driver for you.
You have a suitable engineering background in automotive or transport industry. You hold a M.Sc. Or B.Sc.
