Electronic Hardware Engineer
The rapid growth of electrically driven and electronically controlled systems in all types of vehicles creates an increasing need for challenging research and development. We perform Mechatronics and Software R&D activities in order to secure key properties like safety, energy efficiency and reliability of products from the Volvo Group and other selected customers. Our dedicated engineers cover a wide range of multidisciplinary engineering sciences.
We are now looking for young engineers with an interest in the development and implementation of electrical and electronic hardware systems and who want to take on exciting challenges in an organization committed to find innovative solutions with state-of-the-art technologies.
Job Description:
You will work with the development of concepts, evaluation of technologies, and design of in-vehicle electrical and electronic systems and architectures, with focus on the hardware parts of these. Typical tasks include design of automotive control hardware, integration of electrical and electronic components, and implementation of prototypes.
Since we at Volvo Technology cover a wide spectrum of the development chain, you might be involved in a variety of activities ranging from research and advanced engineering projects to deployment and industrialization of products. This means excellent opportunities for the skilled individual.
Required Qualifications:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or similar.
Insight or experience from the automotive industry is considered as an asset.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Open-minded and positive attitude when it comes to solve both practical and technical problems.
Ability to cooperate with work teams as well as ability to work on your own.
The job is dependent of a good network within and outside the company; therefore your ability to communicate effectively and to work with persons in different areas in a global multicultural environment is essential.
