hela Sverige Volvo Technology Corporation is looking for: Technology Area Director (TAD), Soft Products
Soft products growth is a superior challenge for the Volvo Group. The TAD position is focusing on how to improve on the customer-centric soft products innovation capability for the Volvo Group including early idea generation, concept & method development, concept transfer/pre-commercialisation and time-to-market.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain long term strategic plans and roadmaps within the area for the Volvo group, seen from a VTEC perspective, in cooperation with key persons at BA/BU:s and VTEC expertise
Have a leading role in the Volvo Group Business Innovation framework
New concepts scouting and be aligned with present state-of-the-art research trends in the area
Coordinate public funding initiatives and secure project portfolio that matches relevant GIB or customer roadmaps
Participate or coordinate relevant functions in GIB organization or sub organizations.
Technology area meetings with specialists
Qualifications and Merits:
Master degree in Engineering/Business or equivalent
Strong and broad background in the area of soft products.
Work experience in soft product business development together with end-customers.
A PhD background is a merit.
Specific knowledge in key sub-areas such as Professional services & customer-centric service development (S-GDP), Uptime services, ITS, Intelligent Transport Solutions & Telematics.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of Volvo Technology organization and business model is a merit.
Excellent language skills in English (both oral and written) Knowledge of other languages is a merit (i.e. Swedish, French, Japanese, etc)

Prioritization within the assigned project portfolio.
Validation of project manager after proposal from responsible Line unit for project over 500 kSEK
Project steering committee for project over 500 kSEK
Key Targets and Expected Results:
Fulfillment of VTEC business plans.
Fulfillment of relevant objectives in Volvo Technology strategic objectives. Fulfillment of relevant CIT goals

This position can be located in VTEC offices globally (Swe, Fr, Us, Asia).
