hela Sverige Volvo IT is looking for IT Purchasers with potential to become Senior IT Purchasers within a couple of years within the
• Application Solutions and Services segment including IT Software, IT Services and IT Consulting.
• Infrastructure and Operations segment, especially focused on the Communication area.
You would like to belong to a dynamic global team.
• You will work with purchasing, leading business relations with IT suppliers as well as commercial agreements that reflect internal needs, and so become a Global Lead Buyer.
• You will establish close relationships with your stakeholders within the Volvo Group companies in order to have clear knowledge and understanding of their expectations and roadmap to challenge and support them in the best way for Volvo Group.
• You will be a project purchaser being part of key global projects to develop new IT solutions and to ensure the best TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) approach with our IT Suppliers and secure all contractual aspects.
To do so, you will also have great knowledge regarding the IT market and its best practices.
Personal Profile:
You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy working in teams. You are fully global in your thinking and behaviour and have already worked in such global organisations.
You have several years of international business experience and are a skilled negotiator. You have either a suitable university degree within the area or similar education/experience.
You need to have both broad-based and long experience from business/project management and find it easy to establish good relationships.
It is important that you have a sound knowledge of the IT business and IT market. Previous professional service-oriented business experience will be regarded with particularly high merit.
You have high integrity and personal drive. Your role is to question, analyse and challenge as well as to be proactive in order to drive improvements and changes within your field of responsibility.
You are fluent in both spoken and written English
This is a full time position. In this role you will report functionally to the Global Sourcing Segment Manager with a local host manager at your site.
Location: Gothenburg
